One of my favorite hobbies is making Lego mosaics based on music that I like. Most of the mosaics are simplified album covers or band logos.

For the Lego savvy – most of these were done on 32×32 baseplates. I want to play around and see what it’ll take to modify them to hold actual records.

The Siouxsie Sioux mosaic was made from 16 48×48 baseplates, and is about 5ft x 5ft in size.

The Joshua Tree mosaic is different from all the rest in that I tried to make the image using the sides of bricks instead of the tops. It’s a bigger challenge, but can allow for more precision and unique building techniques. While I like the traditional mosaics, they’re basically just pixel art.
